My New Job at LeTourneau!!

Here are just a few pictures of my new cubicle at LeTourneau. It may not look like much, but it makes me happy!! I have been working there for almost two weeks and I love it!! I am learning a lot and trying to get to know my position as good as I can. They say that I am doing a good job so I really could not ask for anything more then that!

Jen's First Haircut!!

I remember that my first haircut took place on a Barbie doll. I would cut a little bit from the right and a little from the left. Slowly each side began to rise higher and higher on Barbie's head until she looked like a G.I. Jane look a like doll. Poor Barbie, but I guess it is better that I started on an inanimate object then anything else.

Today after dinner Jon asked me if I would cut his hair. I warned him that I have never cut anyone's hair, but of course he said that was fine. So we set everything up and I cut his hair on the patio, because I didn't want hair all over my house. I started with the scissors but that was not going well and taking too long according to Jon. So then I switched to the hair razor (or whatever it is called). That was much faster!

When it came to cutting the back and next to his ears it was hard to get everything even, but I did my best : ). Atleast I am married to a man who trusts me and is willing to walk me through what I need to do to get his hair cut well.

My First Day at LeTourneau!!

Well I just finished working my very first day at LeTourneau as a full-time staff member!! There wasn't much to my day, but a meeting that we were in from 9-4:30pm. And to think the night before I tried on about 7 different outfits, and all I did was sit there and listen to other people talk! Oh well, it's a girl thing I suppose. However, it was nice to be there are put some names to faces. Now when I have to call or e-mail these people I will know who they are!! Anyway, I will be working with the Business files that come in to the Assessment office. I haven't done much by way of training, but I am sure that I will get to that sooner then later. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how it went!!

I love y'all!!

This is the outfit I finally decided on for work today.

The Lord is Good!!

Jon and I have been praying about a full-time job for me at LeTourneau since we moved here and we continued to tell ourselves that the Lord would provide in His timing. I know I would have wanted these events to take place differently, but God is good and He is faithful which is what we trust in.

Yesterday afternoon I received the phone call I had been waiting for. On the other end was a wonderful and sweet woman offering me a full-time position to work in the Graduate and Professional Studies office! I will be working as an Assessment Specialist, basically meaning that I will go through people's transcripts and see what they have left to take before finishing school.

This is coming at the perfect time, because Jon is right in the middle of his summer semester. He also has another part-time job at the LeTourneau hanger and as a result we have been using a lot more gas to get everywhere we need to be. Now that I have a job on campus I will not have to use the car which is going to cut down on how much gas we use on a weekly basis.

I cannot begin to express how excited I am to start working at LeTourneau University. I start at LeTourneau on June 10th. I did tell Old Navy and I am only working four more days, my last day is June 14th. It is going to be a long week next week, but I can't wait!!

Thank you for those of you who have been praying for us. We love you all!!
