One Year Anniversary Weekend Picture Blog

That's right, today is our ONE year Anniversary!! Even though our anniversary isn't until today we decided to take off this last weekend and celebrate our marriage and to just be together. We left Thursday morning and drove down to Houston where we planned to spend our weekend.

This first picture is from Thursday night when we went to the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos football game. It was so much fun, because I (Jen) had never been to a professional NFL game before, and Jon loves the Broncos so it was fun for both of us!!

This was the stadium that we were in and it was huge, load, and fun!! Denver did end up losing which was sad, but we still had fun anyway.

The second day Jon and I went to the Houston Museum of Natural History, and then just spent so time downtown in Houston.


We looked at all kind of stuff but these are such a few fun pictures we took.


When we were downtown we also found out that they had a METRO! We couldn't wait to use their public transportation,

because it is something we miss a lot.

On Saturday we went to the Johnson Space Center. We had a tour of some behind the scenes things that happen at NASA.


It was so much fun!


And Sunday we took our time driving home. On our way we stopped at Chipotle for Jon and went to the mall for a little while. After we got home we went to dinner at Red Lobster.


This weekend just reminded us of how extremely important it is to set aside time to be with one another more then just once a year. We are so thankful for our time together and hope you enjoyed our pictures.

My Tillamook Experience...

So I came home from work today and decided to make a sandwich for myself. Do you want to know what I put on that sandwich?? Tillamook Chese!! I have not let myself buy it down here, because it is so expensive. Well I finally gave in this last shopping trip and bought Tillamook cheese.

As I began to cut open the package surrounding the baby loaf I could instantly smell the wonderful cheese that is Tillamook. It was amazing to slice into the block and finally eat my favorite cheese. It is crazy how much you can feel like you are back at home by adding one block of cheese to your house. Weird I know, but I just thought those of you who love this cheese like me could appreciate this as much as I did.

Finals Week

Hi All!!

I just wanted to let you all know that right now Jon and I are extremely busy. We are trying to complete of classes, study for finals, buy Christmas presents and get our Christmas cards mailed out!! Of course that is all on top of our work schedule. This week is actually our last official week of classes, then next week we have finals. We are both busy and stressed trying to study and get all of our assignments turned in by the end of the week. On top of that many of Jon's finals and section exams are this week. And even though he has just taken a section exam he also has a final next week. The aviation department does things a little bit differently then everyone else, but he are getting through it. We both are trying to work hard and finish strong, which I know is hard for myself to do.

In a mere week and a half, I (Jen) will be done with college! I am in the process of communicating with Multnomah and LeTourneau so that I can get my credits transferred. Unfortunately I will not be able to receive my degree from Multnomah until May 2008. I can not wait until I am finally be a college graduate!! In the meantime I will be looking for full-time employment, but I am not going to worry about that until after Christmas.
