Maternity Clothes: No maternity clothes yet, but I know that will change in just a few weeks.
Gender: This fact is unknown to us until March 26th when we have our ultrasound.
Names: I'm still not ready to share the our names yet. I will tell you the baby's name once we find out if we are having a boy or a girl.
Getting Ready: In preparation to give birth, I got two books from the library that I am excited to read! The first is "The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth" and the other one is called, "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth". I hope that these books will help Jon and I make an educated decision on the type of childbirth we want to have.

Movement: It have not felt our baby move, but Baby Newsham and I have been moving a lot!! Almost every day this week we have gone walking around campus for anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes. We've been walking like this for weeks in preparation for the Greater Longview Young Life 5K that I am going to walk in on March 24th!! I plan to continue to walk as much as I can throughout my pregnancy, because there are so many incredible benefits for both the me and the baby!!

Sleep: I am still going to bed very early. I think it was a record Wednesday night, because I was up until 10:00pm! I hope that as I continue on in my second trimester the fatigue will wear off. However, if the fatigue linger, I plan to listen to me body and continue to go to bed early as long as I need to do so.
What I Miss: Honestly, I miss our family. That's right...I am homesick. I miss our Newsham family and my Hubbell family. I miss our nephews and our nieces that will be here in April. It is hard to be so far away from everyone during this time. But don't worry, God is taking care of the three of us. The Lord has given us such an incredible church family that fills in those gaps when our real family cannot be here.
Best Moment of the Week: The best moment this week was at my second doctor's appointment when I got to hear our baby's heartbeat!! This is only the second time that I have ever hear our baby's heartbeat, but it was truly music to my ears. The baby's heart rate has slowed down a little, but the doctor said that is normal.
Food Cravings: As I told the doctor, I do not want chicken, because I would rather have beef or pork. I am also craving carbs, carbs, and more carbs. I want carbs of all shapes and sizes: bananas, strawberries, blackberries, baby carrots, green peppers, popcorn, crackers, and more!
Symptoms: The fatigue and frequent urination seem to be a given. However, now I cam feel my waste line slowly starting to expand!
Due Date: August 28, 2012
Next Dr. Appointment: Monday, March 26th, 2012 at 8:45am
Daddy: Jon continues to be wonderful! Daily God is teaching him what it looks like to be the spiritual head of our home. As a result, we have started a new Bible study called, Experiencing God! We are only in week one, but I am excited to spend time with Jon studying God's word before our little one arrives.

Sounds like things are going along great!
I know what you mean about being homesick! My Sailor is working A LOT, and we're both in Washington State, with his family in Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, and Conneticut! (And that's just his immediate family!)My family is all in Southern California. It's rough sometimes - and probably will be extra rough when we have a little one! Hang in there. :) You're so right - God provides!
So exciting to hear your news every week. I am glad the Lord has given you a good church family to support you, but I know that can never be a complete substitute for your natural families. I miss you!
