New Year Hopes

Happy New Year!! I don't know about you, but I am welcoming 2010 in with open arms. 2009 was such an incredible year that I hope that 2010 can live up to the standard that 2009 set last year. Don't get me wrong 2009 was not all happy, but I think that the Lord has helped me to be thankful for what He has done this past year.

What's coming in 2010?

3 Years Ago Today...

It was three years ago today that Jon and I exchanged our marriage vows in front of family and friends. I think those words mean more to us today then they did when we spoke them to one another. Time has flown by so quickly. It has been quite an exciting ride so far. There have been many ups and downs, victories and failures, and more joys and blessings then we deserve.

I am so blessed and thankful to have Jon as my husband. I am married to a truly amazing man. I so am grateful for the past 3 years and how God has shaped and changed us. I am looking forward to this next year with much excitement and anticipation.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from our wedding. I hope you have as much fun as I did taking a stroll down memory lane.

George and Ruby's Wedding

What a busy weekend! Here are just a few highlights: Jon finish his last final on Friday, I worked at graduation on Saturday, and Jon was in a wedding this past Sunday. This has been a really busy time for us, like so many other people. We were really excited to be apart of everything this weekend, especially The Keith/Outlaw wedding.

Our friends George and Ruby Keith got married on Sunday, December 13th, 2009. Their wedding was beautiful. They were married at the Speer Chapel on campus at LeTourneau University and then there was a reception following the ceremony at The Summit Club in Downtown Longview, Tx. We had such a fun weekend getting to meet both of their families and being there to help out in any way that we could. They are married and on their honeymoon now and we really just wish them the best!!

Here are a few pictures from the wedding day.

Another Year Gone By...

In the final weeks of 2009 and the close of a decade, I have been thinking about what a year it's been for both Jon and I. I can't speak for Jon, but I can give you a glimpse of what has taken place in my life this year.

Reached Incredible Weight Loss Goals
- Lost 88.8 pounds in one year
- Got Lifetime with Weight Watchers

Fit into my Goal Dress

Ran a mile without stopping to rest or walk

Ran a first 5K

Taught my first Bible Study at church

Turned 25 years old

Watched more CSI then I can count

More than anything else, I have been stretched and strengthed in my spritual journey in ways I never expected. It has been a year of desperately relying on God, because I can truly do nothing without Him. In Him I have found a confidence that I never knew I could have. God has taken a long good look at my heart and is slowly removing things I cherish more then Him. This has been a time unlike any other I have experienced. I have so much more to learn.

I am excited for what will come in 2010!!

Answered Prayer

Jon got a job!! Yes, Jon was offered a job on Wednesday to be a LeTourneau Flight Instructor!! He will start working after Christmas break in January 2010. This is such an answer to prayer. We have been praying that Jon would be hired as a Flight Instructor for a long time. This is the desire that the Lord placed on our hearts sometime ago and we have praying for it ever since. We are looking forward to what God is going to do as He continues to work out His will in our lives!!

Thank you for your prayers!! Please continue to pray for us as Jon has finals all next week.

We love you!!
