Hello all!!
Well we survived Hurricane Ike!! Praise the Lord we did not lose power for longer then 5 minutes. Even though we still know lots of people without power we are just thankful that we were not hit as bad as the Houston area. It is crazy how a storm like that can impact so many people's lives. And there are several people that I work with on a daily basis who are in Houston and many of them had to leave and go other places to live, because the earliest they will have power is in about 3 weeks.
On a lighter note, Jon is playing intramural American Football. He is on the Married Student Housing team (Go Married Student Housing). I went with him last night to watch the game and even though they lost Jon had fun. It was so fun to be a wife on the sidelines cheering for my husband. The on of the guys on Jon's team said that the best part about being on married student housing was that they get to come off the field to the sidelines where their wives are waiting for them. It was a fun time.
The best part is that they have been talking about getting hot pink t-shirts, because they are manly enough to handle that color. And the best part is what they want the shirts to say

I think that would be hilarious! Everything changes when you are married : )

I may be coming your guys way! =) In April there is a possibility of me shooting a wedding for a couple that I did their engagement pictures (my first paid photo shoot!). I'm hoping it works out. They said that they loved the pictures that I did & would like to have me as a photographer b/c they don't feel too comfortable w/cameras. They'd like to have the added comfort of having someone they knew already.
I'll keep you guys informed. I'm super glad that the hurricane didn't cause too much damage to you guys! =)

I will post pictures of the shirts when they get them. That is so awesome about your first paid shoot!! I will be praying that it works out. Please keep us updated. We were really so lucky to have as little damage as we did from the hurricane, many people that we know have had it some much worse.
